Safety

Safety you can see.

A worker can be booked only after Ablepoint staff approve their required checks. Agreements are written down before support starts. And you can tell us about anything that is not right.

Four layers of safety

  • Checked by people

Workers upload their NDIS Worker Screening clearance and other checks. Staff review each one and record how they checked it.

  • Written agreements

What the support is, what it costs and how to cancel, agreed before anything starts.

  • Reports reviewed by staff

Reports and complaints go to Ablepoint staff, who review every one.

  • Private by design

Health information is encrypted, stored in Australia, and shown only to people you authorise.

You are in control of who sees what

Your profile, your notes and your health information are yours. You choose which details the workers you have an agreement with can see, and you can change it at any time. Staff must give a reason before they open sensitive information.

  • Share only the details workers need
  • Give family or a coordinator access, and take it back
  • Staff give a reason to open sensitive information

If something goes wrong

  1. Tell us

Report an incident or make a complaint in your workspace, or contact us. You can block a person in Messages at any time.

  2. We look into it

Ablepoint staff review every report, decide how urgent it is, and contact you if they need more.

  3. We act

Depending on what happened: guidance, suspending or removing the person, and reporting to authorities where the law requires it.

Common questions

How do I know a worker is who they say they are?

A worker can be booked only after staff approve their identity and required checks. Each check on a profile shows the date Ablepoint recorded it. Anything a worker told us without evidence is labelled "Listed by the worker".

What if I feel unsafe during a session?

End the session, make sure you are safe, and call 000 if you need to. Then tell us what happened.

Can a worker see my address before I book?

No. Workers see your suburb while you search and message. Your address is shared only after you agree to work together, and only if you choose to share it.

Support you can trust, chosen by you

Creating an account takes about two minutes. You choose who you work with, and you can stop at any time.
