Safety
Checked by people, dated on the profile.
Workers upload their checks, and Ablepoint staff review each one and record how they checked it. A worker can be booked only after their required checks are approved.
The checks
- Identity
- Workers confirm who they are with government photo ID. Ablepoint keeps the result, not a copy of the ID.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- A national clearance for people working with NDIS participants, valid for five years. Workers upload it; staff review it and record the date and how they checked.
- Working with Children Check
- Issued by each state or territory. Workers who support children are asked for one, and a job for a young person can require it.
- Qualifications
- Staff sight the certificate before a qualification is shown as recorded by Ablepoint. Anything else is shown as listed by the worker.
- References
- Workers can nominate referees. Staff contact them and record what they said.
- Training
- Workers can complete short modules in their workspace, such as infection control basics, and Ablepoint records when they finish.
When a check expires
In the 60 days before a check expires, the worker sees a reminder in their workspace. Once a required check has expired, the worker cannot be booked until a new one is approved.
