Support workers

Verification, step by step.

A worker can be booked only after Ablepoint staff approve their required checks. Here is what we ask for, and how to make it quick.

The verification steps

  1. Identity

Confirm who you are with government photo ID. Ablepoint keeps the result of the check, not a copy of your ID.

  2. Checks

Upload your NDIS Worker Screening clearance, and a Working with Children Check if you will support people under 18. Staff review each document and record how they checked it.

  3. Your profile

Add your photo, introduction, services, area, rates and availability. Staff review your photo and introduction before they are shown.

What you will be asked for

Your Getting started checklist shows exactly what is left, and what each step is waiting on.

Everyone
Your account details, the terms and the NDIS Code of Conduct, your identity, an ABN, the NDIS Worker Screening clearance, and the profile steps above.
Supporting people under 18
A Working with Children Check for your state or territory.
Driving clients in your car
Your driver licence, registration and insurance, all in date.
Before your first booking
Your payout details and two-step sign-in, so you can be paid.
Recommended
The NDIS Worker Orientation Module, two references, your experience, qualifications, interests and working preferences. They help people choose you.

Apply for your screening check first

The NDIS Worker Screening Check is applied for through your state or territory and can take weeks. Start it before anything else and the rest of verification is usually quick.

Common questions

Am I an employee of Ablepoint?

No. You work for yourself as an independent contractor with your own ABN. You set your rates, choose your clients and look after your own tax and superannuation.

Do I need qualifications?

Not to join. Add the certificates you hold: staff sight each one, and it then shows on your profile as recorded by Ablepoint. People choosing personal care often look for them.

How quickly can I start?

Once staff approve your required checks and review your profile, it goes live. Most of the wait is the NDIS Worker Screening Check, so apply for it early.

Ready to work your way?

Set your own rates and hours, choose the people you support, and get paid for every approved session.
